Disaster Relief

         ADRA takes disaster relief seriously. Between 2005 and 2008 ADRA Thailand assisted 20,000 survivors of the disastrous Dec 26, 2004 tsunami restart their lives.  Since then ADRA has built close partnerships with other relief agencies within the region, conducted joint disaster simulation exercises, partnered with local authorities to increase the preparedness of flood prone communities in Mae Cham (Chiang Mai), and is providing emergency health, education, water, sanitation and hygiene support to around 4,000 recent refugees from Myanmar (Tak).
