ADRA Thailand Provides Flood Relief in Wiang Kaen District, Chiang Rai

In response to flooding in the Wiang Kaen District of Chiang Rai Province, ADRA Thailand has provided emergency relief to 400 households.

Relief Efforts

ADRA Thailand conducted a rapid needs assessment to identify the most vulnerable households. Working with local authorities and community leaders, a distribution plan was created to ensure aid was delivered efficiently and equitably. Essential relief, including basic food items and water, was distributed to help meet the immediate needs of the displaced communities. This assistance was crucial for the immediate survival and well-being of the 400 households and helped prevent further hardship.

Challenges and Future Commitment

Some areas were difficult to access due to the extensive flooding, which created challenges in delivering aid to all affected households. Close coordination with local authorities and community leaders, as well as building trust with the affected communities, were essential for a successful response.

ADRA Thailand will continue to monitor flood and emergency situations and provide support as needed. ADRA Thailand is committed to helping the affected communities recover and rebuild their lives.
