Vulnerable Communities
Thailand, a vibrant nation known for its hospitality, is also home to diverse communities facing unique and often severe vulnerabilities. Among them are migrant workers who contribute significantly to the economy but often endure precarious living and working conditions. Stateless people, lacking legal identity are denied fundamental rights like education, healthcare, and formal employment, leaving them vulnerable to hardships. Girls at risk of human trafficking are tragically vulnerable, often targeted due to economic hardship, lack of opportunities, and false promises of a better life. Furthermore, displaced persons from Myanmar continue to seek refuge in Thailand, living in temporary shelters with restricted movement and limited avenues for legal work, reliant on humanitarian aid and yearning for stability.
ADRA Thailand recognizes the urgent needs of these marginalized groups. Guided by principles of justice, compassion, and love, we work tirelessly to provide support. Our programs focus on breaking cycles of vulnerability by offering access to education, promoting sustainable livelihoods, advocating for legal rights and protection, and providing safe spaces for those at risk. By partnering with communities and various stakeholders, ADRA Thailand strives to empower individuals, foster resilience, and build a future where every person, regardless of their background or status, can live with dignity and security.
