ADRA Thailand Responds to Landslide Emergency in Pang Ung, Mae Chaem.

October 1, 2025 – In Pang Ung Village, Mae Suek Sub-District, Mae Chaem District, families were left in distress after a landslide struck the community, damaging homes and livelihoods. Many residents faced immediate challenges in accessing food, clean water, and basic necessities.

In response, ADRA Thailand, in close cooperation with the Thailand Adventist Mission, local government officials, district church leaders, the village head, and community leaders, organized a relief distribution to support the affected families. This collaborative effort ensured that assistance was delivered swiftly and fairly to those most in need.

Each family received two packs of rice, one liter of cooking oil, two packs of canned sardines, and a pack of Mama instant noodles. These emergency food supplies, though modest, provided immediate relief and hope for households struggling in the aftermath of the landslide. Beyond meeting material needs, ADRA Thailand and its partners also sought to bring encouragement and reassurance to the community, showing that they are not alone during this difficult time.

For ADRA Thailand, this response is more than an act of humanitarian service — it is an expression of faith. Through every relief effort, ADRA seeks to reflect the love of Jesus in action, a love that is grounded in justice, compassion, and service.

The presence of the Thailand Adventist Mission and church leaders was especially meaningful, highlighting the power of unity — across organizations, faith groups, and local leadership — to serve those in need. The involvement of the village head and community leaders further strengthened the response, ensuring trust, cooperation, and fairness in reaching vulnerable families.

This emergency response in Mae Chaem is a reminder that while natural disasters bring devastation, they also open opportunities for solidarity, kindness, and hope. ADRA Thailand remains committed to walking alongside vulnerable communities — not only in times of crisis, but also in their journey toward resilience and recovery.

Together, we show that love in action changes lives.
