Vocational Training for Change : JOINT MEETING
Mae Hong Son, Thailand – On July 18, 2025, ADRA Thailand convened with the Office of Vocational Education Commission (OVEC) in Mae Hong Son to address critical vocational training needs within temporary shelters housing displaced persons from Myanmar.
The meeting, hosted by Nawamintrachini Mae Hong Son Vocational College, focused on the pivotal role of vocational colleges in delivering relevant training and the essential development of shelter-based trainers. A key attendee was Director Anuchit from OVEC, whose presence underscored the significance of the discussions. The collaborative effort aims to empower displaced individuals through skill development, fostering self-sufficiency and improving livelihoods within the temporary shelter communities.
Attending this meeting from ADRA Thailand was Country Director, Quentin Campbell and Project Manager Phanu Sukhikhachornphrai. The project partner Acted Thailand also sent Gabriel Boisdeffre to represent the organization.
