VTSD

The Vocational Training and Skills Development Project

The Vocational Training and Skills Development Project (VTSD) is a livelihood project delivered in partnership with the Ministry of Education through the Office for Vocational Education Commission with technical assistance from Vocational Colleges. The project is part of the wider European Union funded program “Enhancing Resilience and Self-Reliance: Preparing Myanmar Displaced Persons for their future”. To this end, the project strives to enhance self-reliance and resilience of refugees based in nine camps through vocational and skills training which is intended to increase their employment and income generating opportunities.

There has also been positive feedback from the colleges indicating that they would like to work with the project to provide services in December for the Thai population near the camps.  This not only improves ADRA’s credibility but also creates publicity of the work we do and an opportunity for further engagement and interactions.
